Important Information Before You Order
Natural Stone Is Unique
Every marble or natural-stone piece has individual veining, colour movement, mineral markings, pores and surface characteristics.
Bespoke Orders Require Approval
Custom dimensions, stone choices, engraving, handles, feet, edge profiles and other specifications must be approved before production.
Delivery Dates Are Estimates
Production and delivery timeframes may be affected by material availability, fabrication requirements, courier operations, customs or other external conditions.
Inspect Your Order Promptly
Inspect delivered products and report missing, damaged or incorrect items within the period stated in the accepted order documents or applicable policy.
Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you access or use MarbleTrays.com, submit an enquiry, request a quotation, ask for material guidance, discuss a bespoke piece or enter into an order confirmed by the Marble Trays team.
By continuing to use the website or by accepting a quotation, invoice, specification, order confirmation or other written order document that incorporates these Terms, you agree to be bound by the applicable terms and policies identified in that document.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the website to submit an enquiry or proceed with an order. Mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
About Marble Trays
MarbleTrays.com is the customer-facing website used to present natural-stone trays, related materials, editorial guidance, bespoke options and project-enquiry services under the Marble Trays name.
The business identity that contracts with you, together with any applicable registered name, address, tax information and payment details, should be stated in the accepted quotation, invoice or order confirmation. Public contact information on this page is loaded from the website contact records so approved changes are reflected consistently.
References to “Marble Trays”, “we”, “us” or “our” in these Terms mean the business identified in the relevant accepted order document or, for website-only use, the operator of MarbleTrays.com.
Eligibility and Customer Information
You must have legal capacity to enter into an agreement and must provide accurate, current and complete information when making an enquiry, requesting a quotation or confirming an order.
When acting for a company, studio, hotel, contractor, client or another person, you confirm that you have authority to provide the information and to bind that party where an order is accepted.
You are responsible for checking contact details, delivery information, measurements, spelling, quantities, specifications and other information supplied by you. Delays or additional costs caused by inaccurate or incomplete information may be reflected in revised timing or pricing.
Permitted Website Use
You may use the website for lawful personal, design, trade, hospitality, specification and purchasing enquiries relating to the products and services presented.
You must not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorised access, submit malicious files, scrape content at unreasonable scale, impersonate another person, misuse enquiry forms, or use website material in a way that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Do not submit unlawful, misleading, abusive, fraudulent or technically harmful content.
- Do not use automated tools in a manner that places an unreasonable load on the website.
- Do not copy product imagery, editorial content or designs for commercial reuse without permission.
- Do not send payment-card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary enquiry fields.
Product Information and Natural Variation
Product descriptions, dimensions, colours, photographs, material names, finish descriptions and other website information are provided to help you evaluate an item or begin an enquiry. They should be read together with the final written specification accepted for the order.
Natural stone is formed by nature and can vary from one slab, block, sample or finished piece to another. Screen settings, lighting, photography, cropping, sealing, finishing and the scale of veining can also affect how a material appears online.
Small natural features, including veins, tonal movement, fossils, pores, mineral deposits, repaired fissures and pattern changes, may form part of the material’s character. Suitability and any acceptable filling, reinforcement or repair should be assessed in the context of the selected stone and intended use.
Product Measurements and Intended Use
Published measurements may be described as nominal or approximate. Handmade fabrication, edge formation, natural material condition and measurement conventions can produce small tolerances unless a written specification states otherwise.
You are responsible for checking that the requested external dimensions, internal usable area, height, weight, rim, handles, feet, compartments and clearance suit the intended furniture, surface, storage area and use.
Unless specifically confirmed in writing, decorative trays and natural-stone accessories should not be assumed to be suitable for direct food contact, food preparation, open flame, high heat, structural loading, wet outdoor exposure or any technical application.
Bespoke and Made-to-Order Products
Bespoke and made-to-order products are developed from the requirements accepted in the final written specification. This may include dimensions, material, slab or sample reference, shape, finish, edge profile, rim, handles, feet, compartments, engraving, quantity and intended application.
Production should begin only after the required specification approval and any agreed deposit or payment condition have been satisfied. Once material is reserved, cut or fabricated, changes or cancellation may be restricted and may result in additional cost, delay or loss of amounts already committed.
Drawings, digital previews, samples and photographs are guides for specification and proportion. They cannot reproduce the precise colour, scale, translucency, pattern placement or natural variation of the final stone.
- Review names, initials, dates and other engraving text carefully before approval.
- Confirm dimensions in the unit stated on the final drawing or quotation.
- Confirm the selected finish, edge profile, hardware tone and placement.
- Ask questions before approval when any aspect of the specification is unclear.
Pricing, Currency and Taxes
Any website price, range or starting figure is subject to confirmation of availability, material, size, finish, quantity, delivery destination and the final scope. The accepted quotation or invoice controls where it differs from general website information.
Prices are payable in the currency stated in the accepted order document. Unless that document expressly states otherwise, delivery, installation, customs charges, import duties, local taxes, bank charges, exchange-rate costs and third-party fees may be additional.
If a pricing, typographical or calculation error is identified before order acceptance, we may correct it and provide a revised quotation. If an error is identified after acceptance, the parties will be contacted to agree a lawful and reasonable resolution before further performance.
Orders and Contract Formation
Submitting an enquiry, product request, bespoke brief or quotation request does not by itself create a binding order. It is an invitation for the team to review availability, feasibility, specification, pricing and delivery requirements.
A binding order is formed only when the contracting business accepts the order in writing through an order confirmation, accepted quotation, invoice or equivalent document and any required payment or deposit condition is met.
The order documents, these Terms and any specifically referenced policy form the agreement. If a specific written order term conflicts with these general Terms, the specifically agreed written term normally takes priority for that order.
How an Enquiry Becomes an Order
The exact steps may vary for ready-made, made-to-order, trade and project work, but the written acceptance stage is essential.
- 01Product or project selection
- 02Enquiry or quotation request
- 03Availability and specification review
- 04Quotation and approval
- 05Payment or deposit
- 06Fabrication and preparation
- 07Dispatch, delivery or handover
Payments
Payment methods, due dates, deposits, staged payments and beneficiary details are those stated in the accepted quotation, invoice or order confirmation. Do not rely on payment instructions received from an unverified source.
An order may remain unconfirmed, paused or undeliverable until cleared funds are received as required. Bank, card, transfer, exchange or intermediary charges are allocated as stated in the order documents or by the relevant payment provider.
The reviewed public website does not contain an integrated database-backed card checkout. Do not send full payment-card information through enquiry forms, ordinary email or WhatsApp. If a payment provider or payment link is used, its terms and privacy practices also apply.
Production and Lead Times
Production and preparation time begins from the point stated in the accepted order documents, which may be after specification approval, material availability confirmation and receipt of the required payment or deposit.
Lead times are estimates unless a written document expressly guarantees a date. Natural-stone availability, slab inspection, approvals, fabrication complexity, finishing, curing, quality checks, replacement of unsuitable material and workload can affect timing.
We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to an estimated schedule. A delay does not automatically entitle either party to cancel or claim compensation where the law or accepted order terms provide otherwise.
Shipping, Delivery and International Orders
Delivery method, destination, cost, responsibility for unloading, installation and any special packaging should be confirmed in the accepted order documents. Delivery estimates depend on production completion and the carrier or logistics service used.
For international orders, customs clearance, import licences, duties, taxes, inspections, remote-area charges and local restrictions may apply. Unless the accepted quotation states otherwise, the customer is responsible for providing accurate import information and paying charges imposed by authorities or third parties.
Risk, title and delivery completion will be determined by the accepted order documents and applicable law. A tracking update or estimated arrival date is not a guarantee that a carrier will deliver at a particular time.
Delivery Inspection and Damage Reporting
Inspect the package and product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. Keep the packaging, labels and protective materials while any delivery issue is being reviewed.
Report visible damage, missing items, incorrect products or other delivery concerns through the stated support channel within the period specified in the accepted order documents or applicable delivery and returns policy. Provide the order reference, clear photographs of the outer packaging and product, and a description of the issue.
Do not install, alter, repair, polish, seal, use or dispose of a product that is the subject of a damage or incorrect-item claim before receiving instructions, because doing so may affect the ability to investigate or pursue a carrier claim.
Returns, Exchanges and Refunds
Eligibility for a return, exchange, refund, repair or replacement depends on the product type, condition, reason for the request, accepted order terms and any applicable consumer law.
Made-to-order, personalised, engraved, cut-to-size, project-specific or specially sourced products may not be eligible for change-of-mind cancellation or return once approval, material commitment or production has occurred, except where mandatory law or an accepted written term requires otherwise.
Before returning anything, contact the team for instructions and authorisation. Products sent without approval, without suitable packaging or to an unverified address may be refused or may create avoidable loss or damage.
Product Care and Customer Responsibility
Natural stone requires material-appropriate handling and care. You are responsible for reading supplied care guidance, using suitable cleaners, avoiding harsh or acidic substances where relevant, wiping spills promptly and protecting surfaces from impact, scratching, heat, water or staining agents as appropriate to the material and finish.
Damage caused by misuse, unsuitable cleaning, unauthorised repair, neglect, impact, dropping, incorrect installation, exposure outside the confirmed intended use, or normal wear is not automatically a manufacturing defect.
Natural patina, minor tonal development and changes associated with use can occur. Ask for material-specific guidance before using a product in a demanding environment.
Intellectual Property
Website text, photographs, graphics, product names, layouts, drawings, design presentations, logos and other original content are owned by or licensed to the relevant rights holder and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may view and save reasonable copies for personal evaluation of a purchase or project. You may not reproduce, publish, sell, modify, reverse-engineer, create competing commercial materials from, or remove ownership notices from website content without written permission.
Bespoke concepts, drawings and previews remain subject to the ownership and usage terms stated in the relevant quotation or project agreement. Paying for a product does not automatically transfer copyright in drawings, photographs or design documents.
Reviews and Customer Content
If you submit a review, photograph, testimonial, design reference or other content for publication, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person’s rights or reveal unnecessary personal information.
Where you expressly agree to publication, you grant the permission reasonably needed to display, format, reproduce and promote that content in connection with Marble Trays products and services. Any wider commercial usage should be agreed separately.
We may refuse, edit for length or clarity, or remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, irrelevant, technically unsafe or inconsistent with moderation standards, while preserving genuine customer feedback where appropriate.
Third-Party Services and Links
The website may link to or use third-party services such as hosting, email, social platforms, maps, WhatsApp, payment channels, couriers or other service providers. Those services operate under their own terms, availability commitments and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for the content or independent operation of a third-party website merely because it is linked. Review the third party’s terms before submitting information or completing a transaction through its service.
Nothing on the website creates a partnership, agency or endorsement unless expressly stated.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The website is provided on an as-available basis. We aim to keep information accurate and the website accessible, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, continuous availability of a material or product, or that every image will match a final natural-stone piece.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, liability arising from website use or an order is limited as stated in the accepted order documents and excludes indirect, incidental or consequential loss where such exclusion is lawful. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
Advice about styling, material selection, care or suitability is general unless provided as part of a specifically agreed professional or technical service. You remain responsible for obtaining appropriate architectural, engineering, installation, food-safety or other specialist advice for technical applications.
Force Majeure
Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, subject to applicable law. Such events may include material shortages, quarry or supplier interruption, transport disruption, customs action, extreme weather, fire, flood, epidemic, labour disruption, utility failure, governmental action, conflict or failure of essential third-party systems.
The affected party should communicate the impact where reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to reduce it. Performance may be suspended or the schedule revised while the event continues. If it continues for an extended period, the parties may discuss cancellation or another fair resolution in accordance with the accepted order terms and applicable law.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any accepted order are governed by the law identified in the applicable order documents or, where no law is stated, by the law applicable to the contracting business identified in those documents, without prejudice to mandatory protections that apply to the customer.
Before starting formal proceedings, the parties should attempt to resolve a concern by contacting the team, providing the relevant order or enquiry reference and allowing a reasonable opportunity to review the issue.
The courts, arbitration forum or other dispute process stated in the accepted order documents will apply where lawfully agreed. This clause should be read with any non-excludable right to use a consumer-protection or regulatory process.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when website functionality, product processes, policies, providers, legal requirements or business operations change. The approved Last Updated date and policy version are stored with the page content and should change only after the revised wording has been reviewed.
The version published when you use the website applies to that website use. An accepted order is normally governed by the terms incorporated into its order documents, unless a later change is required by law or is agreed in writing.

Questions about these Terms, an enquiry, a quotation, a product specification, delivery, damage, a return or a bespoke request should be submitted through the public Contact page or the active communication details displayed below.
Include the relevant enquiry or order reference and a clear description of the question. Do not send full payment-card information, passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents through ordinary email or WhatsApp.
